The Story

With a coal seam gas network running through the region, the Western Downs is no stranger to the mining industry. The problem is most miner’s drive-in, drive-out for work, while their families (and the economic impact of mining) stay back on the coast.

Our job was to encourage people to live in the Western Downs, by running headfirst at perception problems about the region – there’s no food to eat, nowhere for the kids to go to school and nothing for the kids to do. Lucky for the Western Downs, changing people’s perceptions about regional Queensland is what we do best.

How we told it

For distribution within the Queensland Gas Company’s Shell division, we created:

Six Welcome Packs to encourage people to live in the Western Downs, a 32-page designed guide for what to expect living in the region
Creation of four videos detailing the lives of four people who made the decision to move west
30 new hero images of the facilities within the region, because a picture tells a thousand words
