If you’re looking to put what you’re learning at university into practice, you’re invited to apply for a Media Mortar internship at our Brisbane office in Highgate Hill, Brisbane.
We advertise for superstar interns because our interns ARE special. They are committed, eager to learn, and ready to roll up their sleeves.
We like to think of our internships as mental gymnastics because we want you to leave with more skills than you walked in the door with. That’s our commitment to you.

Our program:
Our MM internship gives you insight into the in’s and out’s of a content marketing agency.
Applicants must also be in their second year or above in their tertiary program or have at least two years of casual work experience (not necessarily an office).
One thing we can guarantee is that no two days within the internship will look the same for you at Media Mortar – we work at a fast and (sometimes) chaotic pace delivering fast, nimble, high-quality content and distributing it on social media. Content is king, and we pride ourselves on wearing the crown.
While interning with us, you’ll partake in tasks that aim to give you an understanding into all areas of the agency, covering, but not limited to:
- Brainstorming and researching new social media trends
- Curating social media calendars for a range of tourism clients
- Community managing social media accounts
- Delving into the world of video content creation: Reels/Tiktok
- Writing and researching blog posts
- Learning some of the tools we use on a daily basis: Asana, Canva, InShot, Later
At the end of the program, there may be potential for you to join Media Mortar as a full-time employee. And if you don’t believe us, just ask anyone who works here.
